Main Campus - Various Buildings:
Phase 1: A 5-minute outage affecting all buildings on South Loop 3 and 4. This includes TC, SCH, GH, CPH, DWE, E2, E3, LIB, NH, PHY SHARC, PHY, RCH, DC CIM, and EIT.
- Phase 2: There will be a 2-hour outage at the following buildings: C2, CSB, ERC, FED, QNC.
- Phase 3: There will be a 2-hour outage at the following buildings: C2, CSB, ERC, FED, QNC.
- Phase 4: There will be a 5-minute outage affecting all buildings on the North Loops. This includes C2, DC, MC, GSC, M3, CSB, ERC, BMH, AHS, PAC, UC, SLC, HS, OPT, FED, V1, TH, MKV, REV, QNC.
- Phase 5: There will be a 2-hour outage at the following buildings: M3, CSB, OPT, REV, QNC.
- Phase 6: There will be a 2-hour outage at the following buildings: CSB, OPT, REV, QNC. There will also be a 5-minute outage at all buildings on the North Loops (as per Phase 4 above).
- Phase 7: There will be a 2 hour outage at the following buildings: FED, QNC, FED, QNC and an 8-hour outage M3 and CSB. This will end with a 5 minute outage at all buildings on the south loops 3 and 4 (as per Phase 1 above).

As part of the Primary North Electrical Distribution Replacement project, there will be several building level electrical shutdowns to accommodate the replacement of the existing equipment. This is being done to increase the capacity, resilience, and minimize risk of future failures on campus.

Note: Please contact the persons listed below if you have any concerns with the power outages listed.

These shutdowns will be taking place throughout the month of August on separate dates, with the majority of the shutdowns taking place following exams. The exact schedule is yet to be determined. The intent is to give everyone enough time to make accommodations. If your equipment requires a backup power source, please issue a work request to Plant Operations (Ext. 43793 or email pltops.maintenance@uwaterloo.ca). We will be issuing updates in the coming months as we solidify the exact schedule.

- Phase 6: There will be a 2-hour outage at the following buildings: CSB, OPT, REV, QNC. There will also be a 5-minute outage at all buildings on the North Loops (as per Phase 4 above).
- Phase 7: There will be a 2 hour outage at the following buildings: FED, QNC, FED, QNC and an 8-hour outage M3 and CSB. This will end with a 5 minute outage at all buildings on the south loops 3 and 4 (as per Phase 1 above).
